Tim S/ Head Chef / Chef Manager

We have an excellent Head Chef registered for permanent work only. Tim is in a permanent post, but would like to move on into a kitchen where he can learn more, expand his skills and your business and have greater autonomy and management of his kitchen. Tim is happy to ‘batch chef’ and cover ‘a specials board’, he enjoys the combination. Tim orders, deals with rotas and organises jointly with the business owner on menu changes and use of seasonal produce. Currently earning £17,500 pa on split-shifts. Tim can commute with the area covering Tavistock, Launceston, Callington, Saltash and rural locations in the vicinity.

Chris F/ Chef/ Front of House

Chris is based in Bude and currently working on a contract wombinhich is due to end in November. Chris would like a permanent position as a chef or doing front of house, or possibly a cation of both. Willing to work further afield, but ideally local to Bude.

Darryl S/ Chef

Darryl has experience of Industrial kitchen catering, staff restaurants, pubs & hotels and is happy to join any type of environment locally. Ideally based in Launceston as Darryl does not drive, but he is happy to travel on public transport and utilise local taxis service. Can do batch cooking, short order, specialist menus like Residential Homes.

Alison R/ Catering Manager

Alison is no stranger to a new business start-up and indeed enjoys the challenge. Her qualifications, excellent people skills and experience area  great combination for effective results. Ideally Alison is looking for a salary of £18k-£20k per annum. Alison’s skills can be applied in a commercial area, educational or service provider. 

Esther W/Chef – Wide experience of different catering styles and venues

Esther is very experienced in providing highly professionally cooked home food, specialist diets and gastro-pub cuisine. Although just completed six years as Head Chef working full time hours in a busy (40 resident) Residential/Nursing Home, Esther is not necessarily returning to that environment, but would really enjoy it. Esther’s last hourly rate was £7.65 and her ideal minimum is £7 - £7.50 per hour. Locally based near Launceston, close to the A30, Esther can travel within a 15 mile radius. All necessary certificates held including a CRB check. Esther can and will do temporary or permanent work with immediate effect.

Russell B/QUALIFIED CHEF/CATERING MANAGEMENT

Russell is a qualified chef but for the past seventeen years has been a manager for Caterforce in London, working predominantly within the Jewish community. Is very good at building and maintaining a team, with outstanding customer service skills. Visionary and enthusiastic, this man would be an asset to any organisation requiring a catering manager. Currently on £25K and looking for similar. At present has a long commute and would like something a little closer to home. Based between Callington and Launceston on A388 but willing to travel within a 30 mile radius.

Mel P/ Second Chef

This lady is very effective in a kitchen, because she is happy with all aspects of a kitchen from cooking to cleaning to service at a self-service area. Although we placed Mel three years ago in a residential home, and she loves the work the catering is going over to cook/chill. Mel earns £6.10 per hour and can travel up to a 15 mile radius of home, based in Callington. Really worth meeting this lovely person who is so passionate about good food.

Su H/ Cook for Café, Bistro etc.

Su is really enthusiastic about her passion for cooking. Her customers at present return for her food; simple but tasty and well priced. Su is leaving her present business having sold it, and has decided to become ‘employed’ so that she can do 40 instead of 80 hours! Su really wants to stay in catering/customer service. Although she has many other skills that can be tapped, ideally a catering role is desired within commuting distance of Tavistock, or Tavistock itself.

Sally C/ Part Time Cook/ Front of House

Sally has a great deal of cooking experience and would do well in a residential nursing home, small café or team room. Sally would like part-time hours, and ideally a permanent position, locally based in the Callington area. Sally also has very good IT skills, so she could do menus, ordering, using a till and general administration. Sally completed all these tasks in the last post. The business has closed for the winter, and Sally needs to find a new non-seasonal post.
